Course features – This practical and conceptually rich session explores the key idea of ways of knowing and why it matters for excellent RE in secondary settings. Drawing on RE Today’s resources and current thinking, we will unpack the different ways pupils encounter, interpret, and make sense of religious and non-religious worldviews.

Teachers will be equipped with practical examples, planning models, and discussion strategies that support pupils in recognising and working with diverse ways of knowing. The session will include opportunities for reflection, modelling of classroom activities, and collaborative exploration of how these ideas can transform curriculum design and classroom practice.
