  • This course explores ways of using disciplines in RE, based on the book series, Challenging Knowledge in RE.
  • To explore with teachers a range of practical applications of different disciplines in RE (including theology, philosophy, sociology, anthropology and psychology)
  • To deepen teachers’ understanding of methods used by disciplines
  • To examine the impact of the different epistemological assumptions behind disciplines
  • To develop teachers’ skills in using disciplinary methods with pupils in lessons
