Who is it for?

The conference is aimed at teachers of RE from primary schools, including subject leaders and head teachers. It will also be valuable for governors to find out about and explore best practice in RE.

Sessions inlcude:

Creative teaching for 4-7s	Engaging strategies for 7-11s
Making progress in RE	Applying ways of knowing
Mixed-age planning	Pupil personal worldviews

Aims:

To support schools in embedding the revisedGloucestershire Agreed Syllabus for RE, with its increasedclarity and rigour, implementing a new religion andworldviews approach
To provide practical support and guidance to schools inplanning creative, challenging, thoughtful RE to increasepupils’ understanding of how worldviews work, how to usedifferent methods to find things out, and to develop theirown personal worldviews
To give teachers confidence when planning and deliveringgreat RE, modelling examples of thoughtful RE thatchallenge all pupils and promote thinking
