Eligible schools in Bury include: Bury CE High School, Hazel Wood High School, King David School Manchester, St. Gabriel’s Roman Catholic High School, St. Monica’s RC High School, The Derby High School, The Elton High School, The Heys School, and Tottington High School Academy.

Keynote Speaker – Dr Richard Kueh, Director of Strategy & Improvement at the CAM Academy Trust and Consultant Director of Education at RE Today
Richard is the Consultant Director of Education for RE. A former Senior Civil Servant, Richard was previously Deputy Director for Schools and Early Education at Ofsted. Within the inspectorate, his roles included Deputy Director for Research & Evaluation, Senior His Majesty’s Inspector, Specialist Adviser, HMI for teacher training and HMI national lead for his specialism, religious education.
Richard is Director of Strategy & Improvement for a multi-academy trust. He has worked in senior positions across various phases of education, including as director of a regional school improvement partnership, director of teacher training and development for a multi-academy trust, deputy headteacher of a secondary school, and associate headteacher of a primary school.
Ian Nicholson, National RE Adviser at RE Today
Ian is a secondary specialist who has had experience supporting the development of RE in the Primary phase and in Special schools. Prior to joining RE Today he was a Head of RE in two high schools, an Assistant Headteacher in an 11 - 18 school and Chair of Trafford SACRE for eight years. Ian was also the Cross - Phase RE Adviser and SACRE officer for a large local authority in the Northwest, which included providing support to unitary authorities on the development of Agreed Syllabuses and the statutory work of SACRE. Within his SACRE work Ian has led the development of three Locally Agreed Syllabuses and accompanying classroom-based resources. He has also provided school support in relation to RSHE and PSHE as an SLE and as lead teacher for Philosophy for Children.
Ian has delivered courses and school-based training at a local and regional level to support areas including the leadership of RE, assessment and GCSE and A Level RE.
