Welcome to the team, Adam!

RE Today are delighted to announce the appointment of Adam Robertson as National RE Adviser.

Adam Robertson has been a primary teacher for 14 years, much of it spent as a subject leader for RE. In addition, he worked as a schools adviser for the Diocese of Bristol for four years – helping schools improve their understanding of RE. Adam has been a member of the NATRE Executive since 2018, served as an adviser to SACRE, and led RE Hub groups in Bristol and South Gloucestershire.

Adam has always been passionate about RE, and has a fascination with the big ideas, stories and art that have inspired humans for millennia. He loves to take these objects of beauty and make them real for teachers and pupils in our diverse society today.

Zoë Keens (CEO) welcomes Adam: “We are thrilled to have Adam join our team at RE Today. He brings with him a wealth of experience both from his time in the classroom and as an Adviser - he will be a real asset to our team.”

Adam will work with the existing members of the Adviser team to continue to develop high-quality teaching resources and training, as well as developing and contributing to new and exciting projects.

Adam comments: "I am hugely excited about - and deeply honoured - to be joining RE Today! As a teacher, I always knew their resources were first class and could provoke deep thinking in my pupils. I am buzzing with the thought of working with such an inspiring team of advisers. I cannot wait to start and be part of the development of resources that reflect the lived reality of religions and worldviews in Britain today."

Adam will join the team in June.
