Appointment of the National RE Networks Ambassador

The National RE Infrastructure Project, funded by Culham St Gabriel and The Jerusalem Trust, is delighted to announce that the key role of National RE Networks Ambassador has been awarded to Naomi Anstice.

This is the national lead role for development, encouragement and co-ordination
of regional RE support structures.

Naomi is an Assistant Head Teacher at Frodsham Manor House Primary School in Cheshire where she delivers RE to all ages. She is also:

a member of NATRE Executive and Steering Group
the Primary RE adviser for Cheshire West
a LTLRE Consultant supporting the development of hubs and networks in the North West
a Specialist Leader in Education
a member of AREIAC
an assessor for REQM
and previously worked as a "Getting to Good" Consultant (for Culham St Gabriel)

Naomi is passionate about preparing pupils for global citizenship and led a Global Learning Expert Centre which in turn lead to her year as a Farmington's Scholar looking at how to develop opportunities for Global Learning Skills and Themes in Religious Education and has previously studied Creativity in Religious Education.

Naomi has spoken at a number of regional and national conferences including 20:20, Words beyond Words and Strictly RE on subjects including British Values, Drama in RE, Creativity, SMSC, Assessment and how to promote RE. She has over 20 years of involvement with RE and local SACREs and founded her first local network 15 years ago.

Naomi says

'At the classroom level, I love to see how children explore, change and challenge their own personal views whilst learning how they can empathise with the world around them. I love to see those "light bulb" moments when a tricky concept is eventually understood and children make their own connections to prior learning.

Through the National Ambassador role I hope to connect classroom practitioners with opportunities to support one other, access and participate in research, empower others to lead and inspire, and build the RE Community to move forwards together on our essential subject area.'
