What do young people say about life, death and the afterlife?

Listening to young people talking is an online interactive database of young people’s responses to 13 religious and spiritual questions. Question 3 relates to beliefs about life after death; the six principal religions, other religions and non-religious worldviews are represented. Students can interrogate the database and also add their own thoughts to the question. This is a fully moderated resource.
Classroom suggestion:
a) Provide students with access to the database and ask them to search the database for the religion they are studying. From the list of questions they should choose “viewpoints about death”. How do these compare with their own ideas or the idea of others in the class / group? They should be able to demonstrate a knowledge of the religious position and analysethe responses from the group.
b) Ask students to submit their own personal response to the question looking for an informed insight into the question.
