Abortion: some Hindu perspectives

BBC Bitesize Religious Studies provides a brief overview of the position of Hinduism on abortion. There is a short test activity to consolidate learning.
Classroom suggestions:
a) Students could copy/paste a key text relevant to abortion from the Bitesize outline into the centre of another document to provide the centre of a spray diagram or mind map. Then add i) challenges to the position presented with key quotes in support ii) points in favour of the position presented, with key quotes in support.
b) Complete the ‘test bite’ and then devise a multiple choice test of their own to share with other students as a revision aid (software such as Hot Potato makes this quick and easy to do).
